Windows Marketplace now has 20,000 apps

The large number of applications has continued to lead the market to limit a new milestone of 20,000 applications.

Compared with major smartphone platforms such as Windows 7 is on its way to market with the iPhone App Store, which took 215 days to hit 20,000 applications. Windows 7 phone market took 219 days to hit the same mark.

This is much faster than the Android Market, which took over 419 days a year come to 20 000 applications, and of course much faster than BlackBerry App World, which took nearly two years in 684 days, with just over 30,000 applications suddenly be overcome.

Almost 50% of the applications are free, and most of the remaining $ 0.99, with more games over 18% of applications.
